If you are still single in three years, would you start to adjust and perhaps, lower your expectations for your future partner? Our experiences shape our thinking as we grow. Our expectations, needs and wants are constantly remodeled after these experiences. As we grow older each year — it’s already 2018 –, do we raise our expectations as well? More specifically, when it comes to relationships, do we also raise the expectations we have for our future partner, assuming you’re still single of course?

TRUST OUR GUT FEELINGS.. OR NOT?
“2018. New year, new resolutions, new me.” We often tell ourselves to trust our feelings, feelings of love, and go with them. As Amelia Brand, portrayed by Anna Hathaway in the movie “Interstellar”, famously said in the movie: “Maybe it (love) means something more – something we can’t yet understand. Maybe it’s some evidence, some artifact of a higher dimension that we can’t consciously perceive…… Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space.

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS: IS IT NECESSARILY A BAD THING?
To end the year with a boom, in this week’s survey for our 2RedBeans users, we decide to touch on a sensitive, provocative yet intriguing topic: friends with benefits, or FWB in short. The definition of FWB is as such: a relationship that has companionship (the friends part) that involves something intimate, such as making out and sex (the benefits part). WOULD YOU DATE SOMEONE YOUNGER OR OLDER THAN YOU?
Age. An undeniably important factor when it comes to dating and relationships. I mean, to be really frank, I’m 24 years old this year (I think you can trust me on this). You can’t possibly ask me to date someone who is old enough to be my.. mum. Yes, age is an important factor, and it can be a touchy one. Just look at all the dating apps in the market.
